How to use

This wiki is the editorial source. DeckSpec will later receive a distilled user guide and matching system prompts. Until then, pages are format-agnostic.

If you are making a slide

1. Pick a style family.
2. Pick a pattern.
3. Read When to use and Guidelines.
4. Study the mockup (the board, not the dark wiki chrome).
5. Treat Rules as non-negotiable.
6. Fill in the User recipe and ask an AI — or draw it yourself — to those rules.

If you are distilling into DeckSpec

Copy Rules into the system prompt for that slide type. Copy the User recipe into the product’s “how to ask” guide. Trim Guidelines for humans. Rewrite format-agnostic wording into DeckSpec conventions only in that later pass.

Alignment rule

If a reader follows the recipe and the model produces a different kind of slide, the Rules block is wrong — not the CSS.
